Georgian Military Medicine - Reality and Perspectives

A Round Table “Georgian Military Medicine-Reality and Perspectives” was held at the Gori Military Hospital. During the meeting the medical personnel of the Ministry of Defence discussed the issues related to military medicine and future perspectives. The attention was also focused on the current functions and future tasks of the Gori Military Hospital.

At present approximately 100 patients are being treated in the Hospital, among them are some civilians as well.

According to the statement of the Director of the Hospital, Professor Guram Gvasalia the medical-treatment educational activities are being conducted along with the practical activities.

Field medical trainings are held for the medical personnel.

In the nearest future the Georgian Military Professional Day will be established, which will be solemnly celebrated by the military doctors each year.
